Alan Gill is the Executive Director and co-founder of Choice Energy, a leading Australian consultancy helping businesses reduce their energy costs and build smarter energy strategies. Since founding Choice in 2013, Alan has driven nearly 1,000% growth, leading the company to serve more than 12,000 businesses and win multiple awards – including 1st place in SmartCompany’s Smart50 Awards, 13th in the Australian Financial Review’s FAST 100, and 5th in the Financial Times’ list of Fastest Growing Companies in Asia.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Alan built over 20 years of leadership experience with technology giants such as Dell, Salesforce and Tradeshift, where he developed deep expertise in building scalable sales systems, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering consistent commercial outcomes. He’s widely respected for addressing market complexity, transparency gaps, and provider trust issues – challenges where real-world experience is critical.

Outside business, Alan is a passionate mentor and advocate for emerging leaders. Through his work with the iGen Foundation and the Young Innovators Community, he has coached and sponsored dozens of young entrepreneurs, helping to build the next generation of business leaders. Alan thrives on practical transformation: empowering founders to move from uncertainty to sustainable momentum, embedding cultures of action and accountability, and helping businesses unlock dormant growth opportunities.
